the fight's about how apparently none of us should get close with any inmates. which is - i can see where it comes from, i really can, and it's hard to argue with people like Steph and Furiosa.
they're arguing that because the playing field's not level we should none of us ever cross the line, but there was Steph and Kon and they're married with kids. there was Dean and Felix - I swear Felix would've turned into Arthas II if Dean hadn't been there for him. that's without even touching me and my life.
also it's a pointless argument. they want it to be an enforced rule, but if it's not it's just not. what are they going to do, demote me three years retroactively? i don't think so. so it's just wrangling and insults all round.
also i'm worried shitless about Bull. would you be ok with bringng him to visit sometime?

it's - Bull comes from a very stratified society with priest-enforcers to keep everyone in their allotted positions. renegades get hunted down and killed. honestly it sort of reminds me of the time lords, but a lot more direct and physical.
it's come out lately because we had some new inmates do a bit of murdering. it's like he forgot we aren't here to keep control or give orders. Tiffany brought them drinks and sat down there chatting to them and he got shirty at her. I brought it up - and I was tactful as fuck, mind you - and first he lied to my face and then he shut down like a fucking clam.
those are just details. don't go off on one because Tiffany's involved. what i think i'm looking at is a man who had colouring outside the lines beaten out of him hard. it frightens him to think about and you saw Bull; he's a trained spy and enforcer, he's not a fearful man.

Tiffany is bloody amazing. She's going to be one of the greats as far as wardening goes. Right up there with me and Agent K.

that's very true. i'm more worried about inmates being caught in the crossfire, though. he's already created some bad blood with at least two hard cases and he's involved with my Vic.
i've encouraged that because fuck knows Vic has a lot to learn about relationships and he needs someone that can stand up to him. but it'll set him back so hard if that goes pearshaped on him.
