[The moments of indecision are brief, objectively speaking, but it's an eternity for her.

If she maintains a certain distance, she could see the potential for rehabilitation. She saw his eyes that day, a drink in his hand and a song on his lips. And she saw the heartbreak in Cassandra's eyes, when she said she'd never heard his voice.

But she can't be distant. Not when it comes to Cass. All she really wants to do is find this man and pay him back for every scar on that girl's body, until there's nothing left of him.

Except Cass wouldn't want that.

She always knew Cass was a better person than she was.

When she finally speaks, her face is a hard mask, her voice low and cold. It doesn't matter that she sounds like Oracle right now. Nothing matters but Cassandra.]
